amp is proud winner of the Red Dot: Best of the Best, the award for highest design quality for the project "The Sound of Fascinating Gases" for The Linde Group.
Only a few met the high demands of the expert jury, with only 101 Red Dot: Best of the Best titles awarded this year. This award for top design quality was thus granted to just 1.4% of all entries.
"The Sound of Fascinating Gases" was honored with the red dot award: best of the best (Sound Design, Web & Mobile Sound).
The Linde Group has found a unique way to give its products a visible and audible presentation that is exciting and informative for the general public, in keeping with the slogan "discover a world of unseen potential". With the "Fascinating Gases“ app and the microsite, users can discover how Linde gets the individual gases from the air and learn about the decisive part they play in our daily lives.
In addition to an elaborate interactive design, for which the Peter Schmidt Group Hamburg was responsible, amp composed an generative acoustic identity for each gas reflecting the physical properties of gases in sound. That generates a world of sound making the inaudible audible and inviting the user to an interactive journey of discovery.

"The sound concept of this work convinces with a very good solution to the challenge of how to develop a sound for a fundamentally abstract topic. On the other hand, its aesthetic imple- mentation has been particularly well thought out. Together with the intermodal analogies, the entire approach towards the sound design has been realised exceptionally well."
