The Approach: A mobile television pioneer needs the right sound on its mobile channel

Just in time for the soccer World Cup 2006 in Germany, television in Germany went mobile with the help of Debitel. To introduce its mobile television feature, Debitel wanted to use a dedicated microsite as one way of promoting its "watcha" rate.

Defining and Creating the sound for Debitel

amp analysed the brand and defined the target group. In a workshop the basis for the development of the sound ID was laid down. In the next step the speaker was chosen, sound logos and brand music composed and produced and the sound design developed.

The result and its potential

amp created a broad set of sounds including the debitel sound logo, the watcha sound logo, the brand music for an intro trailer, the microsite and five episode clips as well as the sound design for the intro trailer and the microsite. The sound contributed to the pioneer nature of mobile television in 2006.
